Founder Story

It all started after my Army career ended in 2023. I was looking for another career. At first, I wanted to create clothing, so I pursued that for a while. After months of trying, I failed.
 
In 2024, I stumbled across my cousin Chrisanna’s Instagram page. She was making rugs and having a lot of success with it. After talking with her, she explained how therapeutic it was, and I was inspired to try it. So I took my tax refund and invested in myself. I tried it and loved it.
 
The first rug wasn’t the greatest, so I kept trying. I then created Polaris Dreams on social media. For months, I kept trying to figure out how to make this hobby work while working a 9-to-5, because I didn’t want to work for anyone anymore.
 
In the fall of 2024, I changed my name from Polaris Dreams to Rug Savant. I wanted it to be something I could pass on to my future family.
 
In early 2025, I was desperate for this to work, so I took my time and built Rug Savant one follower at a time. When I felt comfortable selling to the public, I made Rug Savant official in late 2025.
