Born from humble beginnings in New Jersey, Anthony Giddens started his tufting journey on March 13th, 2025, from his home in Virginia Beach, VA. The spark came from his cousin, Chrisanna, whose encouragement was all he needed to begin. With a relentless desire to learn, Anthony immersed himself in the craft, watching over a thousand videos before investing in his first piece of equipment.

His early days launched under the name Polaris Dreams. Anthony’s very first project was a Lego rug—a design he had to restart twice. But each attempt only strengthened his determination. He spent hours studying other tufters, completely fascinated by the artistry and creativity flourishing within the community. Motivated by what he saw, he dedicated the next five months to honing his skills.

However, he realized the name Polaris Dreams wasn’t resonating. After countless days and nights brainstorming for a name that felt authentically his own, Rug Savant was born in August 2025. Why Rug Savant? As Anthony’s skill sharpened, he wanted a name that felt both modern and timeless—one that spoke to mastery and excellence in the craft.

As he created more rugs, something special happened: his community grew, and with it, the demand. It became clear this was more than a hobby—it was a calling. Knowing he had something unique, Anthony moved quickly to build a legitimate company. Rug Savant’s official website launched on December 20th, 2025.

Today, our values are woven directly from this journey: craftsmanship, the pursuit of perfection in home decor, unwavering integrity, and a heartfelt mission to create heirloom pieces that bring joy to homes for years to come.
